Beware of major spoilers ahead but if you truly want to know properly well here it goes.
Sundome first off has high sexual content and is to be recommended for mature readers. the cover title actually states it all. First off, if highly erotic and disturbing themes aren't your cup of tea, stay away.
For those who are brave enough to proceed, you are in for a really good manga. This manga is quite simply like what the title means. The title means quite literally "stopping the moment before". That relates to the fact that the main character a boy by the name of Aiba falls in love with a transfer student by the name of Sahana. She as a matter of fact tells him that he cannot ever make come due to her even if he was the last man on earth. the screen shot is given above. So in the eight volumes of the manga, we see how Aiba goes through hoops to be given even the lightest hint of her affection. Now, the recurring theme occurs right when we think that this is entirely a borderline hentai manga. That recurring theme is that Sahana isn't entirely alright. We see glimpses of the end often but the art makes us want to hope for a better end. But despite the hardest work done by the author that doesn't occur. However, like all manga readers, a little tragedy manga always is good after a couple ten shounen manga series. It ends tragically. that is a foregone conclusion. She dies without ever letting him come with her. The reasons for her trying to stay away from him are explained and made clear. Those are the good points.
Like any manga, there are flaws as well. The art is a little laid back more than most considering the seriousness of the topic. However, the desire of Aiba and the situations concerning images are quite clearly the best of the art. The author used harsher tones and bolder lines here to accentuate the differences between normal images and the panels that show the important scenes of the comic. The scenes are a treat for those who read for the art.
All of that taken in its stead, the bottom line is that this manga is definately worth reading and to make it easier, I'd give it a rating of (7/10) based on scores of story, art and character likability.
